Bagging a debut film with a fine filmmaker is an achievement in itself and for Banita Sandhu, ‘October’ was just the perfect break. Headlined by someone as talented as Shoojit Sircar, Banita got the golden opportunity to showcase her talent rightfully. In fact, it takes a lot of courage to be a part of a project which demands you to emote more wordlessly, and Banita did so beautifully with her role as Shiuli in ‘October’. Hailing from the modelling world, Banita put in a lot of efforts in order to retain the part despite the language barrier. She even took Hindi lessons and dubbed for the movie in her own voice which shows her ardent passion towards being an actress.

As per reports, Malavika was handpicked by Majid Majidi himself as the lead actress for his upcoming Hindi movie, ‘Beyond the Clouds’.
