Namesake!
Rajasekhar shot into prominence in the early nineties with his firebrand performance playing an honest cop in Ankusam.
The film had set off a trend of similar police-centric films. Now, VK Vijay Kumar Reddy is producing and directing a film titled Ankusam. Ramana and Ritesh are playing the lead in the film with Keerti Chawla playing the female lead.
The film will be a second chance for Keerti who has acted in five films since making her debut in 2002 with Aadi.
Ankusam will be releasing simultaneously in Tamil and Telugu. It will be interesting to see if this namesake can repeat the record-breaking success. But don't they say lightning does not strike twice!
