Recalling the fond memories from the making of the film, Namit said, “It doesn't feel like it has been 8 years since the film released. At the time I remember I was confused and overwhelmed because I was to perform in front of such senior actors and I was cast in such an important role.”

“Truth be told Ghanchakkar was the first meaty role I got. The role was very big and when there is a lot to munch on there is always a lot of homework that is to be done towards bringing the character to life. All the actors made me feel at home and I learnt how to conduct myself on a set and be focused on my job” he further revealed.

Apart from Namit, the film also starred Rajesh Sharma, Parvin Dabas and Subhrajyoti Barat. It was backed by Ronnie Screwvala and Siddharth Roy Kapur.

Namit marked his acting debut on the big screen with an Indian satirical mockumentary ‘The President is Coming’ helmed by Kunnal Roy Kapur in 2009. Later, he gained recognition with his brief role in Ranbir Kapoor and Konkona Sen Sharma starrer ‘Wake Up Sid’ and never looked back.
