Veteran Bollywood actor
Nana Patekar, who turned 76 this year, has set the internet on fire after a video of him effortlessly performing tricep dips went viral. Photographer and producer
Atul Kasbekar posted the clip on Instagram, that quickly caught the attention of fans and fitness enthusiasts who applauded the actor's strength and agility at his age.
Nana Patekar nails 15 tricep dips at 76
In the short Instagram Reel posted by Kasbekar, Nana Patekar is seen wearing tan shorts, a white vest, and a gamcha around his neck, his signature no-fuss style. He executes tricep dips on the bars with complete ease and flashes a smile once he's done. Kasbekar revealed the actor completed 15 reps in total, though the camera started rolling late.
The caption of the post read, "A-Ho Nana Sahebbb…!!! You just made me reset my fitness goals!!! That's #NanaPatekar ji. He's 76. That's him cranking out tricep dips on the bars. He did 15 (I started recording late)."
He signed off by calling Nana "What. A. Legend."
Internet reacts to the video
The comments section was flooded with admiration. One user called the feat "Awesome especially at 76," while another simply wrote, "LEGEND GOD STATUS." Fans of the Welcome franchise had their fun too, "Control Uday Control," joked one commenter, referencing Nana's beloved character Uday Shetty, while another chimed in with, "Uday bhai still looking fit."
One user claimed that Nana's fitness was a result of a strictly vegetarian diet—a theory Kasbekar quickly debunked. "Hate to break it to you; he's not vegetarian. I had lunch at his home," the photographer replied. Another commenter added that Nana "cooks and loves to eat fish." Actor-model Muzammil Ibrahim also joined in, asking Kasbekar to pass along his regards and noting he had urged Nana to join Instagram.
