While most actors would be image conscious, especially when it comes to their debut, Nandish wasn’t apprehensive about getting stereotyped. A daily quoted a source as saying that the creative team had to try multiple times before getting the actor’s look right.
Some time ago, Nandish had talked to Bombay Times about his first day of shoot. He had said, “I don’t think too many actors land a chance to debut with a biopic. On the first day of shoot, I was a bundle of nerves, though I had acted for seven years before that. Thanks to my experience on the small screen, I knew camera angles, lighting, and other nitty-gritties. On Day 1, I had a solo scene, which was a mela sequence. I blocked everything out of my head, so that I could stay in character until pack-up. I didn’t eat and I didn’t talk to anyone. At pack-up, it dawned upon me that my journey in Bollywood has finally begun.”
