Over the years, Anil has been widely appreciated as a filmmaker. As ‘Genius’ hits the screens today,
Nawazuddin Siddiqui and
Mithun Chakraborty, who play pivotal roles in the film, praised the director for the precision and detailing in his films.
Nawazuddin says, “Anil sir is modern, yet traditional in his approach. I have been a huge fan of his films, we used to watch them in my village as well. Since Anil sir has insisted that Utkarsh get trained in acting before making his debut, it proves that he favours films that are high on talent. In fact, during the course of our shoot, I realised that Anil sir is a big fan of world cinema. He likes to gain knowledge from across the world, which keeps him updated. I love this quality in him.”
On his part, Mithun adds, “I have worked with Anilji in ‘Veer’. What do I even say about him? He is a very good director, who has delivered so many hit films. I have observed that he never compromises on his work — if he wants a shot in a certain way, he will give his sweat and blood to make it perfect. All his films have his trademark style and finesse. I have always enjoyed working with him.”
