And to think of it, it all began with a proposal and rejection. However, Angad remained persistent and won over his dulhania after four long years. Angad Bedi was head over heels in love with Neha Dhupia but it was one-sided for a long time. Speaking about their relationship, Neha had previously told BT, “Our friends knew that Angad had feelings for me, but it was one-sided, till I came around. He had proposed marriage to me four years ago, but I turned down his proposal at that time because I was in a relationship. He came back four years later and said that I had wasted four years of his life. He said, ‘I don't want to be just in a relationship with you. Either you are my wife or nothing’.”

Neha and Angad surprised fans with news of their hush-hush wedding on May 10, 2018. Turns out the couple was not exactly planning a secret affair. Revealing the plans, Angad had told BT, “Our intention was not to keep it a secret. We just wanted it to be a private affair. Like all mothers, my mom, too, had dreams of a grand wedding for me, but I wanted it to be an intimate affair between the two families. The decision to get married was taken overnight”.

Within a few months of their marriage, news of their first baby hit headlines! The couple refused to comment on Neha’s pregnancy for a long time. Neha Dhupia was reportedly three months pregnant when Angad had approached her parents to ask for her hand in marriage. Angad had later revealed how he broke the news to Neha’s parents and they blasted them. In November 2018, Angad and Neha became parents to a daughter who they have named Mehr Dhupia Bedi.

In July 2021, Neha and Angad revealed that they are expecting a second baby together. Talking to a news portal, Neha revealed that she was already pregnant when Angad had tested positive for Covid-19 earlier this year. The 40-year-old actress also stated that her husband was full of joy and excitement when she shared the news with him. They are expecting their second child in October this year.
