Kiara-Sidharth officially announced their little princess’ name

Kiara and Sidharth became parents on 15 July 2025 at a Mumbai hospital. In November, they shared a post on Instagram announcing their daughter’s name. They wrote, “From our prayers, to our arms our divine blessing, our princess, Saraayah Malhotra,” with a folded hands emoji and a red heart emoji. The post also included an adorable picture of the couple’s hands gently holding baby Saraayah’s tiny feet, wrapped in white crocheted socks.

Sidharth Malhotra explained meaning of their daughter’s name

In a chat with Mojo Story, Sidharth explained the significance of their daughter’s name. “Saraayah is a Hebrew name meaning ‘God’s Princess,’ with Arabic origins meaning ‘princess’ or ‘noble shelter,’” he said.He also spoke about how life has changed after becoming a father.
“Waking up with her stretching. Life has definitely changed for the better ever since I became a girl dad. She’s in her best phase right now. I have never lost so many arguments to someone who can’t speak. I realised that I am no longer the hero of the house; she’s the superstar,” he shared.Sidharth went on to praise motherhood, “Men always talk about courage, grit and strength. But women demonstrate all those when they become mothers. I saw her go through hormonal and physical changes during pregnancy, and then become the superhero that she is today. I am contributing in the little ways I can by changing diapers, clicking photos, and keeping a happy environment.”

While enjoying motherhood, Kiara has started working again. She was last seen in ‘War 2’. Her upcoming films include the pan-Indian project ‘Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups’ with Yash and Nayanthara, and reportedly another big film, ‘Don 3’, alongside Ranveer Singh. Meanwhile, Sidharth was last seen in ‘Param Sundari’ opposite Janhvi Kapoor. His next project is ‘Vvan: Force of the Forest’, starring alongside Tamannaah Bhatia.
