Not Kunal Kemmu, this actor was the original choice for Kalyug

After appearing as a child artist in several Bollywood movies, Kunal Kemmu made his Bollywood debut as a hero with Kalyug. The Mohit Suri directorial starred Emraan Hashmi and Smiley Suri. In a revelation, Kunal opens up that he was not the original choice for the film. While talking to Bombay Times, he said, “That film wasn't meant for me, but for Sunny, Bhatt saab's son (Rahul). At that time, the film was titled Blue Film, and nobody wanted to do it because of its sensational title. I was apprehensive too, but I liked the script and just took a plunge.” Interestingly, at the time Kunal had taken a break from acting. He said, “Post Zakhm (1998) I told Bhatt saab that I wanted to take a break from acting as I wasn’t sure if I should continue being an actor. He understood my sentiments and said if ever I wanted to be an actor I should contact him. For the next five years I did theatre in college.
