Nushrratt Bharuccha recalls spooky hotel encounter in Delhi; says, 'I ran to my flight in a nightdress'

Bollywood actress Nushrratt Bharuccha recently opened up about a chilling paranormal experience she had while staying at a hotel in Delhi. She recounted how what seemed to be an ordinary night turned into a spine-tingling affair that left her terrified and rushing to leave the place.

During a podcast episode of Khooni Monday, she said, "I was in a hotel for five hours. I don’t remember the name of the hotel, but I do remember the room number. Later, I asked the receptionist to never give that room to anyone again. I told them, "This is a haunted room."

When asked about what happened, she explained that she was in transit, staying alone in a hotel room for a few hours before catching an early morning flight. She had placed her hard-top suitcase partially open on the bed, with one side standing upright and the other lying flat, and went to sleep.

"Suddenly, I heard a sound and woke up. I thought maybe the staff had come to wake me up for the flight. I turned and asked, ‘Are you guys here? Is it time to go? Should I wake up?’ But no one answered. I said again, ‘Guys?’ Still no answer. I was sure I heard a sound. So I got up to check; no one was there. I thought maybe I had just dreamt it. I decided to take a walk. My bag, which I had left on the bed, was now on the floor in the exact same position, and three things were out of it. I was thinking, ‘How did it land exactly like that? And why are just three things out?’ I screamed in my dress and ran. I said, ‘I’m going to the flight in my nightdress; you guys can bring the bag. I’m not waiting. I’m never going back to that hotel again," she said.

On the work front, Nushrratt Bharuccha is currently starring in the horror drama web series 'Chhorii 2' alongside Soha Ali Khan.
