Social media personality Orhan Awatramani, better known as 'Orry' has once again grabbed attention, this time for poking fun at his own interrogation in the Rs 252 crore drugs case.
Just days after spending over seven hours with the Mumbai Police’s Anti-Narcotics Cell (ANC), Orry shared a dramatic video on his Instagram handle, taking playful swipes at himself.
Orry shares prep video for drugs case questioning
Captioned “IntteroGRWN,” the video shows Orry getting his look on point as he prepped for his appearance before the Mumbai police. "They didn't give a dress code," he complains while trying out multiple outfits. His stylist also jokes and shares the meanind behind his clock-shaped phone case that he took along for the questioning. “He may be serving time,” she quips.
Salman Khan's advice
The clip ends with Orry offering a candid moment, claiming he once received this piece of advice from Salman Khan. Sharing the superstar's words of advice, he said, “When the fame fades, don’t go crazy for the attention.”
Orry's link to drugs case
According to PTI, Orry appeared before ANC’s Ghatkopar unit last Wednesday. He had been summoned earlier but sought an extension.
His name reportedly surfaced during the interrogation of Mohammed Salim Mohammed Suhail Shaikh, also known as ‘Lavish’, a key accused in the massive mephedrone seizure case. Shaikh, who was deported from Dubai and arrested last month, allegedly told police he organised rave parties in India and abroad involving select film and fashion personalities, among other politicians and even a relative of Dawood Ibrahim.
Orry to be called in for questioning again
Orry was reportedly interrogated for more than seven hours, but officials told India Today that he “did not reveal much” and may be summoned again.
During questioning, he reportedly denied consuming drugs or having knowledge of drug use at parties he attends. He also insisted that Bollywood personalities invite him "specifically for pictures.”
He further denied any links to co-accused Alishah Parkar and suggestions of any involvement in drug procurement or distribution.
