'Our family doesn't eat beef,' says Salman Khan's father Salim Khan: 'Cow's milk is substitute for mother's milk'
Salman Khan's family is often seen celebrating most Hindu festivals. For instance, Ganesh Chaturthi was recently celebrated in full swing at their household. His father, veteran screenwriter Salim Khan got married to Sushila Charak who is a Hindu. But much before that, he was accustomed to the Hindu traditions. However, in a recent interview, he's made some revelations about not eating beef, as mentioned in the teachings of Prophet Mohammed.
Salim Khan revealed that despite being Muslims, his family does not eat beef. He explained in a chat with the Free Press Journal, "From Indore until today, we have never had beef. Beef is eaten by most Muslims as it is the cheapest meat! Some even buy it to feed pet dogs. But in the teachings of prophet Mohammed, he has clearly stated that a cow’s milk is a substitute for mother’s milk and it is a mufid (beneficial) cheez. He has stated that cows should not be killed and beef is forbidden."
He further added, “Prophet Mohammed has adopted good things from every religion. Like eating only halaal meat which was adopted from the Jews, who call it kosher. He has postulated that every religion is good and believes in a Supreme Power like we do."
The veteran reminisced about how seamlessly Hindu traditions were woven into his childhood, long before his marriage to Sushila Charak (now Salma Khan). He said, “You see, I have lived all my life amidst Hindus. Even in the police stations and colonies, we celebrated Hindu festivals as everyone from a sipahi to the head constable was a Hindu. So it was not as if we began keeping Ganpati at home only after my marriage. My family had no objection to my marriage either."
On the other hand, Salma’s family initially showed some hesitation, though her father soon came to respect Salim’s values and background. “My father-in-law, a dentist, was from the Dogra community. He had investigated my background when the matter of my wedding came about and respected the fact that I came from a good family and was well-educated. He candidly told me that my religion was his only objection. I assured him that even if we had disagreements or fights, my wife and I would certainly not have them because of our religions! We have been wedded now for 60 years!"

Prophet Mohammed never advised not to eat Beef. Neither it is forbidden. Salim Khan has no knowledge of Islam. There is nothing wrong growing up in Hindu amidst. Both religions can co exist together. He and his family’s customisation of normalising his beliefs of what is extremely forbidden in Islam is utterly wrong and dangerous for other Muslims. He and his family along with Shahrukh khan all the Khan’s family are committing sins of SHIRK every time they participate and perform in Hindu rituals of worshiping by acknowledging it as an act of faith. Being a Muslim and do sins like this is never forgivable. The sin of comparing Allah with other entities or spirits or gods as assumed is totally and completely forbidden. It is a sin that is never forgiven unless ask for forgiveness and promise never do it again to Allah.Read allPost comment
