The makers of 'Padmavati' and

Rajput Sabha

have reached an agreement over the film, days after Karni Sena assaulted Sanjay Leela Bhansali and vandalised the film set in Jaipur.

Bhansali, through his production house, issued a statement putting at rest any doubts or demands that Karni Sena and Rajput Sabha had. The production house clarified that there is no romantic scene or song or dream sequence between Rani Padmavati and Alauddin Khilji in the magnum opus. They further stated that they have done extensive research on the subject and do not want to hurt anyone's sentiments by any sort of misrepresentation.

Bhansali even asked for a written confirmation from the Karni Sena and Rajput Sabha to ensure that there is no untoward action against their production, cast and crew in lieu of the said issue from members of the Rajput Sabha.

In return, the representatives of the Rajput Sabha and Karni Sena assured him to go ahead with the making of the film as long as their demands are met ' their point of argument being that there should be no distortion of facts in the film. They also asked the filmmaker to refrain from depicting any romantic scene between Padmavati and Khilji.

Lokendra Singh Kalvi of the Karni Sena too issued a letter to Bhansali Productions with the following demands:

1. Whatever be the relationship between Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone in real life, there should be no romantic allusion between Alauddin Khilji and Rani Padmavati in the film.
2. No intimate scene should be depicted between Alauddin Khilji and Rani Padmavati, neither in the way of a song or a dream sequence.
3. The decision of stopping the shooting of the film until the talks were on is commendable but the shooting cannot be resumed until there is a written agreement by the makers.
