Pakistani actress Anita Ayoob once spoke about living with Dev Anand in Denmark for four weeks: ‘Unse relationship toh har kisam ka ho gaya tha’
Pakistani actress and model Anita Ayoob entered Bollywood in the early ’90s with none other than Dev Anand’s Pyar Ka Tarana (1993). The actress later reunited with the legendary filmmaker-actor for Gangster in 1995. Their repeated collaborations sparked speculation at the time, including rumours about a possible romantic relationship.
‘We shared every kind of bond’
Now, a throwback interview of Anita with Lehren has resurfaced on social media, in which she openly spoke about her equation with Dev Anand. “Unse relationship toh har kisam ka ho gaya tha, ek bade bhai, ek father, ek boyfriend, ek mother. Relation har kisam ka tha,” she said, describing their bond as encompassing multiple roles.
Recalling their time together in Denmark, she added, “We lived together for four weeks — he was on the third floor, I was on the second. When you live together like that, seeing each other every morning and spending the whole day side by side, you automatically get to know everything about a person. I didn’t mind choosing him as a boyfriend, as a mother, as a father, as a brother — as everything!”
