Palaash Muchhal caught red-handed at wedding to Smriti Mandhana? Lawyer reacts to cheating allegations: 'What is the evidence'
Palaash Muchhal has been in the news lately over his next directorial venture with actor Shreyas Talpade. However, at the same time, he has been brought under the scanner after actor-producer Vidnyan Mane made several allegations against him. Mane recently accused Muchhal of allegedly 'cheating' on Indian cricketer Smriti Mandhana during his wedding celebrations and also accused him of fraud to the tune of Rs 40 lakh, linked to an investment in an unreleased film.
Questioning the timing of the allegations, he shared, "Why did he keep quiet so long? It’s only after the marriage broke that he (Vidnyan) has turned up."
Palaash, at the moment, is said to be exploring legal options.
Mane has also accused the Muchhal family of fraud and blackmail over the production of a film. He alleged that in a meeting with Palaash's mother, Amita Muchha) last month, she claimed that the budget to release the movie had increased to Rs 1.5 crore. "They asked me to invest another Rs 10 lakh or I wouldn’t get any money back. They started blackmailing me and threatened to throw me out of the film, thus I was forced to file a complaint."
Lawyer reacts to Palaash Muchhal fraud allegations
Now, Shreyansh Mithare, advocate for Palaash has responded to the allegations. In a statement to Hindustan Times, Mithare rubbished allegations over the financial dues saying, “He (Vidnyan) claims he has paid us money, but there is no evidence whether he paid by cheque or bank transfer."Palaash Muchhal caught cheating at wedding?
Addressing allegations that Palaash was caught red handed with another woman during his wedding festivities, the lawyer asked, "What is the evidence?" Mithare went on to insist that they do not know the man making the allegations, but added, "We met him through Smriti’s father (Shrinivas). The allegations by Vidnyan were shared in a report on HTCity. At the time, he revealed that he was a guest at the wedding which was infamously called off on the morning of the ceremony. Opening up to the portal, he claimed, "I was at the wedding celebrations (November, 23, 2025) when he was caught red-handed with another woman in bed. However, Police confirmed on Thursday that no FIR was registered so far in the matter.
