Pankaj Tripathi says after working in Main Atal Hoon he has become a better person ‘in terms of sympathy, empathy and compassion’

India's three-time prime minister and beloved leader Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee, who led an extraordinary life, comes to life on the big screen with ‘Main ATAL Hoon’. Released on January 19, 2024, it starred National Award winner Pankaj Tripathi, whose transformation astounded everyone. Directed by award winning filmmaker Ravi Jadhav and written by Rishi Virmani and Ravi Jadhav and produced by Vinod Bhanushali, Sandeep Singh, and Kamlesh Bhanushali, ‘Main ATAL Hoon’ is a biographical film. It stars Pankaj Tripathi as Former Prime Minister, Atal Bihari Vajpayee.


Pankaj Tripathi stated that after working in the film, he has improved as a person and it has affected and molded him personally. He stated, “After portraying Atal Ji’s character, I have become a better person in terms of sympathy, empathy, and compassion. I feel I have become more democratic from within. I now understand that I will not dislike a person if he or she dislikes me at any given point. I appreciate giving complete freedom and respect to those who criticize me. If somebody someday tells me that they didn’t like my movie, I will not hold grudges against those who dislike me or my movies.”


The actor had earlier said, “Getting a chance to play the role of our great leader, Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee was an honour in itself. We went through rigorous reading sessions, to understand the dialect, his lifestyle and his vision for India. I feel elated today as we begin shooting for Main ATAL Hoon.”


On the work front , Pankaj Tripathi was last seen in ‘Oh My God 2’ and ‘Fukrey’. He will be next seen in the OTT film ‘Kadak Singh’.
