The buzz around ‘Dhurandhar 2’ continues to grow, with praise pouring in not just from audiences but also from members of the film industry. While it has now crossed Rs 1000 crore net in India, it continues to gain praise from the audiences all over the world and many celebs. Recently,
Paresh Rawal heaped praise on the film and revealed what impressed him about the
Aditya Dhar directorial.
Speaking about the film, Rawal said in an interview with Jagran, “I am extremely impressed with ‘Dhurandhar’. I absolutely loved the film. I still haven’t gotten over it. I have already watched the first ‘Dhurandhar’ twice and have seen ‘Dhurandhar 2’ twice as well. I feel like going and watching it once more.”
He further added, “The first part was entertaining, but the second ‘Dhurandhar’ is packed with so much detail that viewers will thoroughly enjoy it. After watching, you realise there are multiple layers to it. Only when you see the film do you understand what each reference it is pointing towards.”
Talking about R. Madhavan’s character Ajay Sanyal, Rawal said, “When I saw that Madhavan’s character is inspired by Ajit Doval ji, I felt very happy. He is a fine actor, and Ajit Doval ji is a true hero of our country. The work he has done is remarkable, and when films are made keeping such personalities at the centre, it feels good.”
Interestingly, Rawal himself had portrayed a similar role in 'Uri: The Surgical Strike'. He also revealed that he was keen to be part of ‘Dhurandhar’ and had even called director Aditya Dhar about it. In a light-hearted remark, he joked that he wanted to play Ajay Sanyal’s twin brother.
On the work front, Rawal will next be seen in ‘Bhooth Bangla’ alongside Akshay Kumar and Rajpal Yadav. He also has several projects lined up, including ‘Welcome to the Jungle’, ‘Hera Pheri 3’, and ‘Bhagam Bhag 2’.Get the latest entertainment updates from the Times of India, along with the
