In an interview with Pinkvilla, Parineeti mentioned the existence of camps, circles, and favourites within the industry. She pointed out that among two equally talented individuals who can contribute equally, one might be favoured while the other may not, resulting in a loss of work opportunities.

The 'Ishaqzaade' actress urged for a system based on meritocracy, emphasizing that if he can bring the same level of talent and contribution, she should receive equal opportunities regardless of his relationships, affiliations, or circles within the industry.

According to her, getting access to certain actors and access to certain directors leads to work opportunities. She admitted that if she isn't consistently visible to them, he may miss out on such opportunities.

Directed by Imtiaz Ali, Amar Singh Chamkila premiered on Netflix on April 12. The film also stars Apinderdeep Singh, Rahul Mittra, Nisha Bano, Anjum Batra, Vipin Katyal, and Udaybir Sandhumore in pivotal roles.
