Both families are arrived in the city yesterday, setting the stage for what promises to be an extravagant affair. The reception party tonight is is expected to be graced by the presence of Bollywood luminaries and influential political figures. The festivities kicked off with Parineeti's chuda ceremony on the morning of September 23 at the opulent Maharaja Suite. The event, titled "Adorned with Love," showcased exquisite floral decor, adding a touch of elegance to the venue. Following the chuda ceremony, there was a hearty welcome lunch named 'Blooms and Bites,' which included traditional haldi and mehendi ceremonies, adding vibrant colours to the festivities. In the evening, an enchanting sangeet night was hosted with the theme "Let’s Party Like the '90s," where guests donned the attire of iconic Bollywood actors from the '90s era, a night of nostalgia and entertainment. Celebrities like tennis star Sania Mirza, designer Manish Malhotra graced the events with their presence. According to buzz, Parineeti and Raghav celebrated the ritual together while their families indulged in a traditional Gidda performance, which is a Punjabi folk dance. The guests were served Asian and Indian delicacies at this event. Post the Haldi, Parineeti and Raghav prepped for a 90's-theme based sangeet, which took place on Saturday evening.

According to reports, Raghav’s sehrabandi ceremony will take place at 1 pm at The Taj Lake Palace while Parineeti's choora ceremony is scheduled for the same time at The Leela Palace. Following this, the baraat will proceed for the wedding venue by 2:30pm. The Jaimala ceremony will happen at 3:30 pm with the Pheras to begin at 4 pm, and Vidai at 6:30 pm. Post the wedding, Parineeti and Raghav will host a grand reception at 8:30 pm. The theme of this function is 'A Night of Amore’. Parineeti and Raghav arrived in Udaipur on September 22. The couple had Haldi and sangeet functions on September 23, followed by the pre-wedding and wedding festivity on September 24.

Since both the bride and groom are Punjabis, the food at the wedding is expected to be an extensive Punjabi spread, with the choicest of delicacies sourced from authentic regions. However, since the wedding is in Rajasthan, some signature Rajasthani dishes, such as Dal Baati Churma, Panchratna Dal, Gatte ro Saag etc, will also be featured in the menu. This apart, guests can also expect to enjoy global cuisines, keeping in mind the taste buds of everyone.
