Akshaye Khanna has been making waves for his compelling performance in
Aditya Dhar’s Dhurandhar'. His portrayal of ‘Rehman Dakait’ has stood out, earning praise for its intensity and his strong on-screen presence. So much so, that fans missed him in the sequel, which is currently running in theatres.
Apart from his acting, Akshaye’s distinctive look in the film has also sparked conversations. He donned a specially styled wig to add depth and realism to his character. A behind-the-scenes video now doing the rounds online reveals just how particular he was about getting every detail right.
In the clip, Akshaye is seen carefully examining the wig and instructing the team to ensure it appears natural on camera. He says, “This one side? Now you see the cut and it goes directly to my side. Okay? So that will make it look very natural.”
He continues to guide them, adding, “On both sides and top… yeah, yeah, we got the point. Secondly, come this side,” demonstrating his focus on even the finest aspects of his look.
The video quickly gained traction on social media, with fans applauding his dedication. One user wrote, “Dedication level Akshay Khanna,” while another shared, “Still can't get over his amazing role.”
Some reactions leaned humorous, with one comment reading, “God knew he would be too powerful with that hairline, so took it!!” and another offering a styling suggestion, “Would have looked more good with the beard for Rehman. The beard looks quite white.”
Drawing a relatable comparison, a fan joked, “How I explain my haircut to the barber vs after the haircut,” while another appreciated his grounded nature, saying, “If he had only hair… so much knowledge about styling, yet he’s simple.”
Praising the overall effort, one comment read, “This is what Oscar-level work looks like… peak detailing by Aditya Dhar,” while another noted, “The one who doesn’t have it values it more.”
Following the success of the Dhurandhar franchise, Akshaye is now gearing up for his Telugu debut with Mahakali, where he will play Shukracharya in Prasanth Varma’s cinematic universe. He will also be seen as the main antagonist in the upcoming Netflix film Ikka, alongside Sunny Deol, Dia Mirza, Tillotama Shome, and Sanjeeda Shaikh, continuing to explore a wide range of powerful roles.Get the latest entertainment updates from the Times of India, along with the
