Pooja Bhatt mourns Poonam Pandey's death; says, 'Tragic'

Pooja Bhatt expressed her condolences on the tragic passing of Poonam Pandey via her X handle. The actress described Pandey's death as a devastating loss and offered her heartfelt sympathies to the bereaved family. Despite never having met Poonam, Bhatt emphasised the profound impact of the news.

Bhatt wrote, “So tragic to hear about #PoonamPandey. I had never met her, but when life claims someone so young, it is always devastating. My prayers and deepest condolences to her family, friends, and everyone whose life she impacted''.



On Thursday, February 1, Poonam Pandey passed away. The news of her death was first announced in a post shared on her Instagram handle. “This morning is a tough one for us. I am deeply saddened to inform you that we have lost our beloved Poonam to cervical cancer. Every living being that ever came into contact with her was met with pure love and kindness. In this time of grief, we would request privacy while we remember her fondly for all that we shared,” the post read.

The passing of Poonam has provoked grief from numerous celebrities. Kangana Ranaut, in particular, shared her condolences on her Instagram stories today, mourning the tragic loss of a young woman to cancer. She wrote, "This is so sad; losing a young woman to cancer is a catastrophe. Om Shanti."

Poonam Pandey’s co-contestant, Munawar Faruqui, also wrote on X, “Shocking! I can'tn'tocess the news that Poonam was a great human being. Sad. RIP.”
