Priyadarshan confirms news about Hungama 2

There's quite a buzz centering around the film '

Hungama 2

', The sequel to Priyadarshan's 2003 hit comedy, that had an ensemble cast of Akshaye Khanna, Aftab Shivdasani, Rimi Sen and Paresh Rawal, among several others. It will be directed by Priyadarshan.

As per reports, the director did not just confirm the film, but he has also revealed that Meezan, Jaaved Jaaferi's son, who made his debut with '

Malaal

', will play lead hero in this sequel. He told a site that Meezan had been found as a hero for the film and he also appreciated his dancing and fighting skills. In another development, there is buzz that South actress Pranitha Subhash (who has appeared in films like 'Anirudh' and 'Hello Guru Prema Kosame'), may be joining Meezaan in the film, but there is no official announcement on this as yet.
You may not know this, but 'Hungama' is an adaptation of Priyadarshan's own 1984 Malayalam film '
