Priyanka Chopra appears almost unrecognisable in no-makeup selfie with fan at Hyderabad airport, fans defend her against trolls

Global star Priyanka Chopra’s candid selfie at Hyderabad airport is making waves on social media, but for the wrong reasons. The actress appeared almost unrecognisable in the photo, sparking chatter online. While some trolled her, many fans defended her, calling out the unrealistic beauty standards placed on celebrities.

Wearing an all-black ensemble with a cap, Priyanka posed for a quick selfie with a fan while entering the airport. The casual click, far from her usual red-carpet glam, immediately caught attention online, with many pointing out how different she looked.



Fans clap back at trolls

Once the picture began circulating, critical comments emerged, but loyal fans were quick to defend her. One Reddit user wrote, “No wonder celebrities get irritated when fans click selfies without consent or try to avoid them altogether—then everyone labels them arrogant or snobbish. God forbid a celebrity is humble and suddenly everyone’s mocking her.”

Another added, “It’s just the angle and she’s been traveling. Do people expect her to be in full glam?”

Some fans also highlighted lighting and camera factors. “I think it’s because of the cap shadow also, and if you see clearly she is a little blur as well compared to the guy. Let’s be human, guys,” wrote one. Another remarked, “She actually looks a lot like her mom in this.”

Priyanka travels with Malti Marie

Priyanka, who recently travelled to Hyderabad with her daughter Malti Marie Chopra Jonas, has now returned home. Several videos and photos of the mother-daughter duo from the airport surfaced online.

In one clip, Priyanka is seen speaking to her team while pushing a trolley with a baby carrier where Malti sat. A staff member accidentally hit Malti’s head with a backpack, prompting Priyanka to quickly shield her daughter and address the situation. Malti, however, appeared cheerful, holding onto a bag, looking around, and smiling as they made their way to the terminal.



Priyanka was dressed head-to-toe in black, while Malti wore a blue top, white tights, and matching shoes.

The actress has been travelling frequently between Hyderabad and California in recent months. She is currently working on SS Rajamouli’s upcoming big-budget sci-fi drama Globe Trotter (formerly SSMB29), starring Mahesh Babu and Prithviraj Sukumaran in lead roles. The film’s first teaser is expected to drop in November.
