Exclusive! Producer Kumar Mangat Pathak tests positive for COVID 19

Producer-Manager Kumar Mangat Pathak has been tested positive for COVID-19 and has isolated himself at home.

A source close to the industry informed ETimes, "Kumar Mangat Pathak has been tested positive for Covid-19 and the doctors have asked the producer to stay at home. Thus, the producer has isolated himself at his residence. The producer who has undergone covid 19 test in Ramojirao where the unit starring Ajay Devgn have been shooting for Mayday, said that he tested negative in Hyderabad but once he came to Mumbai for some personal work he developed slight fever and thus decided to take the test which was positive.


When contacted, the producer confirmed, "I am at home, have isolated myself and have taken my medicines. I am feeling fine and should go back to work in the first week of January. It may be noted here that actress Rakul Preet Singh who was also shooting for 'MayDay' has tested positive and has isolated herself. Mangat said whoever goes out and is shooting outdoors is likely to get the virus and therefore one has to take precaution. "

B-town celebs like Neetu Kapoor, Kriti Sanon and Varun Dhawan were the few actors who recently tested positive for COVID-19. However the actors have now resumed shooting for their respective film projects post their recovery.

Moreover, he recently announced his upcoming project, 'MayDay' in collaboration with Ajay Devgn. Kumar Mangal Pathak, is known for producing films like, 'Omkara' 'Drishyam', 'Special 26' and 'Khuda Haafiz'.
