‘Raat Akeli Hai: The Bansal Murders’ OTT release: When and where to watch Nawazuddin Siddiqui's crime thriller online
The crime and corruption-fueled underbelly is back with the premiere of 'Raat Akeli Hai: The Bansal Murders' on Netflix, as it has been five years since Inspector Jatil Yadav entered a horrifying murder investigation. Now that he has returned to face another much worse case than before, Jatil discovers a much darker and sadder story that has unfolded since he last solved the previous case he was assigned.
This sequel continues the journey of the Inspector and takes you even deeper into the world of family politics, betrayal, manipulation of power and religion. All while following a thrilling tale filled with suspense and anguish; the sequel will take you deeper into Jatil's mind than ever before as he encounters one of his most grotesque investigations yet.
The investigation of the case is led by Inspector Jatin Yadav (Nawazuddin Siddiqui), and as he continues to investigate, he soon discovers that every member of the family is not telling the whole truth about their stories. What initially seems to be an easy murder is going to turn into one big web of lies, betrayal, and long-held grudges. Every time a piece of evidence is revealed, the case continues to grow darker and more twisted and draws its audience ever deeper into a compelling mystery.
Additionally, the themes of this film go well beyond the typical ‘whodunit’ murder mystery genre and instead deal with the dynamics of power, social pressure, and the fragile boundary line between truth and lies.
'Raat Akeli Hai: The Bansal Murders' will stream globally on Netflix from December 19, following its world premiere at IFFI on November 27.
