Rajkummar Rao not to play the love interest of Ayushmann Khurrana in 'Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan'

After the success of 'Subh Mangal Saavhan', the producer-actor duo of

and Ayushmann Khurrana is reuniting once again, this time for a gay love story titled '

Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan

'. The film will be a comedy featuring a homosexual love story. However, there were wide speculations as to who will play the lead alongside Aayushmann.

Recent reports suggested that Rajkummar Rao will be playing the love interest of Ayushmann Khurrana in the film. Both Aayushmann and Rajkummar have worked together in Ashwini Iyer Tiwari’s 'Bareilly Ki Barfi'. However, the latest reports state that Rajkummar Rao has denied the news and made it clear that he will not be a part of the film.

This again leaves the open space of speculations as to who will star opposite Aayushmann in the film. Earlier reports had also suggested that actor Jitendra Kumar, who is popular for YouTube sketches and TV series have been approached for the film.

Writer Hitesh Kewalya who had written the screenplay and dialogues for ‘Shubh Mangal Savdhan’ will be directing the sequel. ‘Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan’ is slated to release on Valentine’s Day next year.
