Rakul Preet Singh: I truly believe you are as old as you feel

Rakul Preet Singh is embracing life with gratitude and boundless energy. Reflecting on age, wellness, and the joys of married life, the actress believes that numbers should never define a person — especially in an industry like showbiz, where they often become an unnecessary talking point. “I don’t understand the concept of why people have to mention anybody’s age. It’s never done in any other profession. To me, age is just a number. I truly believe you are only as old as you feel and I am forever 16 at heart,” she says. Now in her mid-30s, the De De Pyaar De 2 actress advocates for a lifestyle centered around wellness and mindful living. “Taking care of your body is like the saying — what you sow is what you reap. Building healthy habits in your early twenties through food choices, lifestyle and therapies makes the process of aging beautiful. I also think staying happy and balanced in your mind and spirit keeps you youthful,” she shares.

Life has also taken a beautiful turn personally for Rakul, who tied the knot with actor-producer Jackky Bhagnani in 2024. Growing together as partners, she says, has made the journey even more fulfilling. “I think both of us are enjoying this phase a lot because we’re best friends first. Our lifestyles were already so similar that the transition was seamless. Both of us come from the same thought process of maintaining our individuality while also strengthening our relationship and growing together,” she says.







For Rakul, marriage hasn’t changed the foundation of their bond — it has only strengthened it. “We were best friends before, we’re best friends now. We’re equally focused on our work and our relationship, and I think it’s beautiful.
