Shekhar Kapur’s directorial debut film ‘Masoom’ was one of the greatest hits in his career which is still cherished by his fans. To this, the ace filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma took to Twitter to share a rare picture of the ‘Masoom’ team and wrote to Kapur, “Hey ⁦@shekharkapur ⁩ This is a priceless team photo of ur evergreen great film MASOOM ..Just can’t believe that little girl in ur hands grew up to become a RANGEELA”

Retweeting the same post, ‘Masoom’ director was spotted reminiscing the shooting days of the film as he recalled actress Urmila Matondkar and hailed her performance as a “terrific actor.”

He replied saying, “Amazing isn’t it @RGVzoomin? But Urmila was already showing signs of being a terrific actor! #masoom”

For the unversed, the 1983 film ‘Masoom’ featured Naseeruddin Shah and Shabana Azmi in the lead roles. It also featured Urmila Matondkar as a child artist. Not only Urmila's contribution to the film was praised by the critics and the audience but also gained her wide recognition in the film industry.


Speaking about ‘Masoom’, Shekhar tagged his assistant director Satish Kaushik in a recent tweet and added, “Remember, Satish, when you were assisting me on Masoom, you asked that if I had to shout at anyone, I should shout at you? Why I asked. Will never forget your reply. ‘Because as an assistant, how else would people notice me?’ @satishkaushik2”
