Neetu Kapoor will be seen next in 'Daadi Ki Shaadi', which also stars
Kapil Sharma. The already sparked considerable buzz since the release of its first look. Centered on themes of second chances and evolving relationships, the teaser has sparked immense curiousity. Neetu and Rishi Kapoor's daughter Riddhima Kapoor Sahni is set to make her Bollywood debut with this film. Her character is expected to bring an added emotional dimension to the family-driven narrative.
Before stepping onto the set, Riddhima turned to her brother, actor Ranbir Kapoor, for guidance. Revealing the advice that her brother Ranbir gave her, she said, “I spoke to Ranbir before starting. His biggest advice was to stay honest in front of the camera. He told me to trust my instincts and just live the character rather than perform it and that really stayed with me."
Audiences have previously seen Riddhima on Netflix’s Fabulous Lives vs Bollywood Wives, where she appeared alongside Maheep Kapoor, Bhavana Pandey, Neelam Kothari Soni, Seema Sajdeh, Shalini Passi, and Kalyani Saha Chawla. With Daadi Ki Shaadi, she now takes a step into films, marking a new phase in her journey as viewers look forward to seeing her transition from reality television to the big screen.
The film, which also features Sadia Khateeb is written and directed by Ashish R Mohan and is slated for release on May 8, 2026.
Meanwhile, Ranbir Kapoor is occupied with his film 'Ramayana', directed by Nitesh Tiwari. In the film, he takes on the role of Lord Rama, with Sai Pallavi playing Sita, Yash portraying Ravana, and Sunny Deol essaying Hanuman. Backed by Namit Malhotra, the mythological epic is among the most anticipated releases of 2026 and is scheduled to hit theatres during Diwali that year.
