Ranbir Kapoor takes a break from ‘Ramayana: Part 2’ for family time with Alia Bhatt and daughter Raha Kapoor
Actor Ranbir Kapoor was spotted taking a break from his packed shooting schedule for 'Ramayana: Part 2', to spend quality time with wife Alia Bhatt and their daughter Raha Kapoor.
The family of three was spotted at the Mumbai airport on Tuesday morning, where Bhatt was seen being protective of her young daughter amid the flashing cameras. Carrying Raha in her arms, she was seen making her way towards the gate, while Kapoor followed closely behind.

Videos from the airport showed photographers requesting Ranbir and Alia to pose for photos, while assuring that they would not capture images of Raha. In another moment, the toddler, who is already a frequent flyer, was seen confidently walking ahead into the airport, with Alia running behind her to keep up.Kapoor, meanwhile, posed for the photographers, who were heard chanting “Jai Shree Ram”.
Ranbir Kapoor shoots 'Love and War' and 'Ramayana'
The spotting comes at a busy time for the actor couple. Ranbir has reportedly begun work on 'Ramayana: Part 2' while also completing portions of 'Love and War'. Producer Namit Malhotra recently revealed that the team has commenced filming a large-scale battle sequence depicting Lord Ram battling it out with a demon.
Ranbir Kapoor on Raha's curiosity on 'Ramayana'
Kapoor, who was in the United States last week to unveil the film’s first glimpse, also shared how working on the epic has taken on personal significance. Speaking to the Associated Press, he said, “I was extremely blessed to have this opportunity that coincided with me becoming a father. On one side, I am going to work and play Lord Rama, but I am also going home and telling my daughter, Raha, stories about Ramayana. Just to see a 3-year-old so engaged and asking me, ‘Did you shoot with Lord Hanuman today? Or Sita today? What did you do today?’”
'Ramayana' cast and release date
The film features an ensemble cast including Yash as Ravana, Sai Pallavi as Sita, Sunny Deol as Hanuman, and Ravie Dubey as Lakshman. Additional cast members include Kajal Aggarwal, Rakul Preet Singh, Arun Govil, Kunal Kapoor, Adinath Kothare, Sheeba Chaddha and Indira Krishnan.
The first instalment of the epic, 'Ramayana: Part 1', is slated for release on Diwali 2026, with the sequel expected to follow in 2027.
