special appearance

by none other than Ranveer Singh! Not many know that the two actors, who've worked in a Bollywood film earlier, are great friends and hence, when Ali asked Ranveer to be a part of his film, the 'Padamaavat' actor happily obliged. The film is about a man, who wants to open a tikka shop and he manages to fulfil this dream, after a lot of hurdles. The end of the film involves Ranveer endorsing his brand, as he appears on a billboard, eating the tikkas. Though a small appearance, Ali was happy to have Ranveer in his film.

On the work front, Ranveer has finished shooting for Zoya Akhtar’s 'Gully Boy' alongside Alia Bhatt and is currently working on Rohit Shetty's 'Simmba', which marks Sara Ali Khan's debut in

Bollywood

. The actor will also start work on Kabir Khan's '1983', which is based on India's 1983 cricket World Cup win.
