Ranveer Singh’s blockbuster 'Dhurandhar' has added a page to the box office history books by overtaking Allu Arjun’s 'Pushpa 2: The Rule' to become the highest earning Hindi film of all time.
The
Aditya Dhar directorial achieved the milestone on its fifth Tuesday at the box office. As per the film's box office report released by its production house, the movie earned an estimated Rs 5.70 crore on Tuesday, thus pushing its total to an estimated Rs 831. 40 crore.

'Dhurandhar' becomes No 1 film in Hindi cinema
This came just days after the film crossed the Rs 800 crore nett mark at the box office in India over its fifth weekend. Till then, 'Pushpa 2: The Rule' held the record for the highest lifetime business in the Hindi market, with collections estimated to be around Rs 830 crore nett.
With this, 'Dhurandhar' has not only dethroned 'Pushpa 2', but has also ended its record that stood for nearly 11 months. Prior to this, 'Baahubali 2' held the record for a total of eight years.
'Dhurandhar' lifetime to hit Rs 900 crore mark
'Dhurandhar' has now officially cemented its position at the top of the Hindi box office charts. Trade estimates suggest the film is heading towards a lifetime India nett collection of Rs 875 crore, with others suggesting that the numbers could also rise to an estimated Rs 900 crore.

Leading man Ranveer Singh reacted to the post in the comment section, writing, "My beloved Alma Mater (red and white heart emoji) only ever wanted to make you proud."
The film also stars Akshaye Khanna, Sanjay Dutt, R Madhavan, Arjun Rampal, Aditya Dhar, Aditya Dhar Films, Jyoti Deshpande and Lokesh Dhar.
