Raveena Tandon reveals motivation behind signing for 'Patna Shuklla'

Raveena Tandon, known for her beauty and acting talent, has caught everyone's eye with her latest movie, 'Patna Shuklla', now streaming on OTT. The film's gripping story and Raveena's powerful portrayal of a lawyer fighting a roll number scam have stirred excitement in the industry.

In an interview with Pinkvilla, the actress candidly shared what motivated her to take on the role. She expressed, "I think it was very important for something like this to come out. There was not much awareness about it. I didn't even know that something like this does happen till I read the script. Then when I started googling, I was like so many incidents that are happening."


"This concerns our young students, who represent the future of our nation. They are the ones who will shape the new India. Their lives are at stake when they are just beginning their journey. Many of them lose hope, and some even lose their lives while grappling with the devastation of their futures being shattered. We want to offer hope to people that while these things do happen, there are ways to overcome them," she added.

When she searched for scams online, she found numerous types: university, fake mark sheets, paper leaks, scholarships, and admissions scams. The plight of the common man investing in their children's future, only to face such challenges, left her feeling helpless. Conversations with Arbaaz, both parents of similarly aged children and students themselves, emphasized their strong belief in preventing such misfortune from happening to anyone they know.

'Patna Shuklla' is a crime drama uncovering education scams in India, featuring Raveena Tandon as lawyer Tanvi Shuklla. The film follows Tanvi's journey as she fights for a student trapped in a roll number scam. It sheds light on the serious crimes affecting many Indian students annually. Directed by Vivek Budakoti, the movie premiered on March 29th.
