Made in Heaven actor Trinetra Haldar Gummaraju shares that she is now learning to love and celebrate the monsoons, in a very filmy style. She says, “I always hated the monsoon, but I’m now growing to love it a little more, in my second year in Mumbai. I recreated the memories I had of sari clad actresses in the rain and it was supremely therapeutic as a trans woman.” Trinerta, who is also a doctor, recalled memories of the time. “The monsoons in Manipal were gruelling. As interns, we’d take buses to rural locations, wading through puddles and mud to go treat people. On those days, a cup of chai and a pack of biscuits with colleagues felt like a big reward.”
