Riddhima Kapoor shares sweet PICS with brother Ranbir Kapoor and cousins Aadar Jain and Armaan Jain to celebrate Raksha Bandhan 2025

On August 9, Raksha Bandhan is celebrated across India as a special festival honouring the unique bond between brothers and sisters. Many Bollywood stars are celebrating Rakhi by sharing heartfelt messages and photos on social media. Among them were the is Riddhima Kapoor Sahni and Ranbir Kapoor, the children of Neetu and the late actor Rishi Kapoor.

Riddhima’s nostalgic Rakhi wish to Ranbir


Riddhima shared a warm Rakhi message for her brother Ranbir on Instagram. She posted a photo of Ranbir from the baby shower of his wife, Alia Bhatt. The picture was shared in her Instagram stories with the caption ‘Happy Rakhi’ and pink heart GIFs.

A festive look: traditional outfits and family moments

In the photo, Ranbir is dressed in a peach kurta pyjama with embroidery, while Riddhima looks lovely in a pink traditional outfit. She also shared a collage featuring her cousins Aadar Jain and Armaan Jain to mark the occasion.

Riddhima opened up on her bond her Ranbir, she told India Today, “If mom ever said anything to him, I’d jump in and say - ‘No, Mom, he’s not wrong!’ I was always on his side, always." She also said, “Everybody knows we used to fight but I would always take his side.”

Remembering their childhood Rakhi traditions, she said, “Rakhi used to be special even back then. I would tie the thread on his wrist in the morning before we both left for school, and then Mom would give me a gift on his behalf. He used to be a cute bro even then.”

Riddhima’s upcoming acting debut

On the work front, Riddhima is set to make her acting debut soon in a film reportedly titled ‘Dadi Ki Shaadi’, where she will act alongside her mother Neetu Kapoor and comedian Kapil Sharma. The film’s release date has not yet been announced.

Ranbir’s upcoming film projects

Ranbir will next be seen in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s ‘Love and War’ with Alia Bhatt and Vicky Kaushal. The film is scheduled for release in March 2026. He also has Nitesh Tiwari’s ‘Ramayana’ Parts 1 and 2, as well as Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s ‘Animal Park’ lined up.
