Rimi Sen says her 'Dhoom' co-star John Abraham didn’t know how to act but knew his limitations, 'He was a very intelligent actor'
Actor Rimi Sen, known for her hit comedy films such as 'Hera Pheri', 'Hungama' and 'Golmaal', is back in the spotlight for a very different reason. Having stepped away from acting, the former actress has now shifted to Dubai to focus on her real estate business. In a recent podcast appearance, Rimi Sen spoke candidly about her 'Dhoom' co-star John Abraham and how he has carefully shaped his career over the years.
She then cited John Abraham as an example of someone who handled early criticism with composure and clarity. Speaking about his initial years, she said, “In the beginning of his career, he was a model, he didn’t know how to act, people used to talk. He didn’t say anything.”
According to Rimi, John made choices that aligned perfectly with his image and growth. She explained, “He picked the type of roles in which he is looking proper, where he doesn’t have to act much, mostly chose action films. He did things that made him look good, so that people can’t question what he was doing. He was a very intelligent actor, I must say.”
She further explained how experience in front of the camera makes a significant difference. “You gain the experience in front of the camera after a while. After that, he took up roles that give him a chance to act. He was strategically correct, he knew his limitations.”
Praising his long-term vision, Rimi said, “I know him personally and I feel he is a very intelligent actor. He became a businessman, came into production, even gave hit films that have credibility.”
She appreciated how the city focuses on improving everyday life and ensuring smoother systems for residents. Drawing a comparison with India, Rimi pointed out that frequent policy changes and high taxes can make business more complicated, often affecting how comfortable and seamless professional growth can be.
