Ronit Roy renews wedding vows with wife Neelam Bose Roy on 20th anniversary
Bollywood actor Ronit Roy and his wife, Neelam Bose Roy chose an interesting way to celebrate their 20th wedding anniversary - by renewing their marital vows. The couple, who are in Goa on a holiday, headed to a temple to renew their marital vows and walk around the sacred fire once again, according to traditional rituals.
In a seires of photos and videos shared online by Ronit on his Instagram handle, the star shared glimpses from the intimate ceremony. The bride and groom, who have been together for 20 years, kept up with tradition and performed the sacred rituals, including the shubho drishti.
While Ronit wore white, his bride, Neelam wore red for the big day that saw their closest friends and family in attendance.
Sharing glimpses from the ceremony, Ronit playfully captioned it as, "Mujhse shaadi karogi??? Phir Se? (Will you marry me again)."
Sharing another video from the ceremony, he humorously captioned as, "Renewing our vows: Part 2."
From trying to peak at each other from behind the veil, to holding hands for the pheras and seeking blessings from their elders, the couple did it all. Interestingly, this time around, they sealed the deal with a kiss at the end of the ceremony.
Ronit professed his love to his wife in a post that read, "Doosri baar toh kya, hazaaron baar byaah tujhi Se karoonga (I will marry you a thousand times)! Happiest 20th anniversary my love."
Celebrity friends and fans flooded the comments section with congratulatory messages and wished them the best for the years ahead.
Before taking the plunge for the second time, Ronit teased fans with a picture of the temple adorned in flowers. Sharing the photos he wrote, "Preparations on in full swing at our temple! I’m getting married today. Maybe I’ll go live so I can invoke your good wishes and blessings."
Ronit and Neelam wed in 2003 after dating for over 3 years. The two are parents to daughter Aador and son Agastya.
