Saiyami Kher calls ‘Haiwaan’ reunion with Saif Ali Khan 'beautiful full-circle moment' after 12 years: 'He looks the same'

For Saiyami Kher, working on ‘Haiwaan’ has turned into a deeply personal milestone. Long before stepping into films, she had appeared alongside Saif Ali Khan in an eyewear advertisement back in 2014. Now, over a decade later, sharing screen space with him again in Priyadarshan’s action thriller feels surreal. “Reuniting with him after 12 years feels like life has come around in the most beautiful way,” she reflected.

Recalling her early days, Kher spoke fondly about that initial collaboration with Mid-Day. Believing such beginnings play a crucial role in shaping an artist’s journey, she said, “I cherish that memory. I had shot for one of my very first campaigns for an eyewear brand, and Saif sir was its ambassador. Even back then, he was so funny,” adding that her admiration for his work has only grown stronger over time.

Working together again on ‘Haiwaan’ brought back a wave of nostalgia, but also a sense of comfort. Saiyami Kher highlighted how little Saif seems to have changed over the years. “It felt surreal to share the screen with him in Priyan Sir’s film all these years later. It’s incredible how he looks exactly the same. Saif has been warm and gracious. Working with him now, as an equal collaborator, has been comforting,” she said.


Beyond the emotional reunion, ‘Haiwaan’, which also features Akshay Kumar, marks an important point in Saiyami’s career. She sees it as a reminder of growth and perseverance. “It’s about how far you’ve come. Experiences like this make you look back and feel grateful for the opportunities, learning, and people who have been part of your journey, even in small ways,” she concluded.
