Saiyami Kher plays a game of badminton with para-athlete Palak Kohli

Saiyami Kher, who was last seen in Ghoomer, takes great interest in sports beyond cricket. She is a badminton and tennis aficionado as well. She recently participated in a friendly match with para shuttler Palak Kohli, who was the youngest para-athlete to qualify for the Tokyo Paralympics in 2021.

Inspired by Palak’s achievements, Saiyami had expressed her interest in playing a friendly match with her. Palak, impressed by Saiyami’s portrayal of a para cricketer in Ghoomer, enthusiastically accepted the invitation. Talking about the experience, Saiyami shared, “I have been in touch with Palak for the last two years and wanted to play a game of badminton with her. During Ghoomer, I got to live the life of a para-athlete on screen, and I have a huge amount of respect and awe for athletes. Badminton has always held a special place in my heart, and sharing the court with Palak and her coach, Gaurav Khanna, was a very special feeling. I will cheer for Palak in the upcoming Paralympic Games in Paris.”
