Salman Khan will soon be seen in a cameo in Telugu film ‘GodFather’, which stars Chiranjeevi and Nayanthara in the lead roles. As part of promotions for the film, Salman attended a press conference with Chiranjeevi in Mumbai.
At the event, Salman Khan cryptically spoke about South biggies like ‘RRR’, ‘KGF 2’ and ‘Pushpa’ receiving a lot of love pan India, while Bollywood films have failed to work.” Addressing the North-South debate, Salman jokingly told Chiranjeevi, “Your films are being accepted here but our films aren’t accepted there.” Reacting to this Chiranjeevi stated, “We are here to take you. This is one of the reasons why I asked Sallu Bhai to come through in this film.” Further commenting on growth possibilities if Hindi and South industries were to work in unison, Salman said, “People want to go to Hollywood, I want to go South. The thing is once you start working together, just imagine the numbers we will all have. That is the main thing that people watch it here, people watch it in the South. You have all the theatres, fans, go and watch him, me. Even they become my fans, we become his fans. Everyone just grows and grows and the numbers become really large. Jo hum kehte hain ki Rs 300 crore, Rs 400 crore. If all of us get together, we can cross Rs 3000-Rs 4000 crore.” Speaking about ‘GodFather’ shoot, Salman had said, “I have spoken one line in Telugu, and the rest is Hindi. That was a big challenge.”
‘GodFather’ is a political action-thriller helmed by Mohan Raja. This Telugu drama will hit the screens on October 5, 2022. The makers are also releasing a Hindi dubbed version of this entertainer.
