Early Thursday morning, Salman took to social media to express his excitement for Nikita Roy, extending his support to the film’s team and praising Sonakshi Sinha’s performance. He wrote, 'Sonakshi devi bani #NikitaRoy (Sonakshi has taken on the avatar of Nikita Roy)! Looking forward to this film aap bhi jaake dekho, kal release hai (You also go and watch it. The film is releasing tomorrow)! All the best to the team kill it (sic)'.

A supernatural thriller with a twist

Nikita Roy, directed by Kussh S Sinha—Sonakshi's brother—features the actress as an investigator who takes on supernatural myths head-on. The thriller promises a gripping storyline as her character’s rational beliefs are put to the test when she’s confronted with a baffling and seemingly unexplainable case.



Co-starring Arjun Rampal and Paresh Rawal, Nikita Roy was originally slated for a June 27 release but was pushed to July 18. The delay has only heightened the buzz around the film—especially with Salman Khan publicly throwing his support behind Sonakshi Sinha’s much-anticipated big-screen return.
