Salman Khan, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Kriti Sanon, Arjun Kapoor: Celebs offer condolences to Malaika Arora and her family after Anil Mehta's funeral

Malaika Arora’s father Anil Mehta tragically passed away on Wednesday after allegedly taking his own life by jumping from the terrace of his Mumbai residence. The postmortem report confirmed that he died due to multiple injuries. He was 62 years old. Anil Mehta was laid to rest on Thursday at the Santacruz Hindu Crematorium.

Many Bollywood celebrities visited Malaika and her family to offer their condolences during this difficult time. On Thursday, stars like Salman Khan, Farah Khan, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Karisma Kapoor, Kriti Sanon, Dia Mirza, Sophie Choudry, Rohit Dhawan, Arpita Khan Sharma, and Alvira Agnihotri visited the family. Arjun Kapoor was also seen at the house after the funeral.

Earlier, Malaika's ex-husband, Arbaaz Khan, arrived at the crematorium with his wife Sshura Khan. Saif Ali Khan and Karisma Kapoor attended together, while Gauri Khan visited Malaika's family home to pay her respects.

On Wednesday, Malaika shared her grief through a heartfelt statement on Instagram. “We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of our dear father, Anil Mehta. He was a gentle soul, a devoted grandfather, a loving husband, and our best friend. Our family is in deep shock by this loss, and we kindly request privacy from the media and well-wishers during this difficult time,” the statement read.




At the time of the incident, Malaika was in Pune and rushed back to Mumbai upon hearing the tragic news. Arbaaz Khan was one of the first to offer support.

The Mumbai Police have recorded statements from Malaika, her sister Amrita Arora, and their mother. According to the police, Anil Mehta had called his daughters before switching off his phone. Malaika and Amrita revealed that their father had said, "I am sick and tired." Despite their efforts to reach him, his phone was already turned off.



The police plan to gather more information by speaking with Anil Mehta’s doctor and other close family members.
