Salman Khan's 'Battle Of Galwan' postponed; set to release in cinemas on Independence Day 2026
Salman Khan's 'Battle of Galwan' has been the talk of the town since its announcement. The movie was set to arrive in cinemas on April 17 this year. However, recent reports suggested that the film might get delayed. And now, as per the latest development, the war film has been pushed to August 2026. Let's learn more about it.
The person told the web portal, "Salman Khan and the makers are of the opinion that it would be a better date since India’s Independence Day falls on August 15. The patriotic sentiment will be at an all-time high, and 'Battle Of Galwan' would be an ideal flick to watch in this period."
The report further stated that the makers will be making an official announcement about the change soon.
The report further stated that director Apoorva Lakhia will edit the new footage. Reportedly, the makers have to show the movie to the Ministry of Defense, which would take some time. There were a few reasons the makers could not release the film in theaters in April this year.

'Battle of Galwan' to release in August 2026
According to the Bollywood Hungama report, Salman Khan's 'Battle of Galwan' has been postponed. A source close to the development told the publication, "It'll now release on August 14, 2026." The insider stated that the makers and the actor would leverage the Independence Day week to boost the box office collections of the movie.The person told the web portal, "Salman Khan and the makers are of the opinion that it would be a better date since India’s Independence Day falls on August 15. As per the report, the filming of the movie is yet to be completed. Reportedly, from Monday, February 9, a week-long schedule is set to take place at Mumbai's Golden Tobacco Factory.
