Salman Khan's bodyguard Shera has filed a complaint against a society member where Shera and his family have lived for more than 50 years. The complaint was filed at the behest of Shera's mother, at the DN Nagar police station, against the secretary of the building situated at Manish Nagar in Andheri, Mumbai.
Pritam Kaur Jolly, Shera's mother, has alleged that a member of the society, where they used to live and still own an apartment, named Jayantilal Patel has been defaming her and using unflattering language to address her.
In the FIR copy Pritam Kaur has stated that Patel has used foul language to malign her image and the incident happened at their co-operative housing society's Annual General Meeting, in presence of her husband. She has alleged that Patel used unsavoury comments to address her. Patel allegedly said to Pritam Kaur, "Khud ko kya samajhti ho, abhi AGM mein dekho tumko sab ke saamne kaise nanga karta hoon."
Patel apparently has been telling the society members that Shera's mother has filed an unwarranted complaint against the society with the Society Registrar's Office.
ETimes was able to get through to Shera who revealed key details about the complaint and the history behind the case. He stated, "We have been living in Ashish Co-operative Housing Society for the past 50 years. A few years ago, I moved to Oshiwara. My mother and father were living with my son at our old residence.
Mummy was the chairman of the society and Jayantilal was the secretary. The building renovation work started in 2016, with Jayantilal stating that it would be completed in Rs 60 lakh. The secretary was not able to complete the work and then my mother resigned from her post in 2021.
After that the secretary started having grudges against my mother. He, along with 13 other members of the society, filed a complaint against my mother in the registrar office. The secretary started to single out my mother. I thought that the matter will be resolved but it kept getting worse.
In the AGM, they printed a book and singled out my mother by saying that Pritam Kaur has filed a false complaint against Jayantilal and the society in the Registrar Office. But that wasn't the case. The Registrar office has issued a notice to debar the society secretary and that notice was returned back to the office. The case is still is still pending a resolution in the office of the concerned higher authority. The society committee has been asked to submit the documents on the 26th of this month.
Jayantilal started abusing about my mother in front of the other members of the society, who had signed the complaint with my mother. He started abusing and threatening my mother when my parents went to attend the AGM. How can you do that to a woman and a senior citizen? My mother said that we should file a complaint so we went ahead and filed a complaint at the DN Nagar Police Station under sections 509 and 500."
Sections 509 and 500 deal with hurting the modesty of a woman and procuring a punishment against defamation respectively.
Shera has been associated with Salman Khan for many years now, he even made a cameo appearance in Salman's film Bodygaurd. In fact, Salman even wore the badge of Shera's security company in the film as a mark of respect for him.
