Salman Khan's brother-in-law Aayush Sharma receives threat email after Ranveer Singh’s extortion case
Days after Ranveer Singh reportedly received a threatening WhatsApp voice note, actor Aayush Sharma has now allegedly received a threat email. Aayush, who is married to Salman Khan’s sister Arpita Khan, was sent the message via email, reportedly from someone claiming links to the Lawrence Bishnoi gang.
As per IANS, the Mumbai Crime Branch confirmed that Aayush received the threat on Wednesday (February 11). His case surfaced shortly after a similar threat was sent to Dhurandhar star Ranveer Singh.
According to reports, investigators are examining the digital trail in both cases to determine whether there is a common source or coordinated attempt behind the threats.
As per reports, Ranveer allegedly received a threatening voice note demanding a sum of around Rs 10 crore. Investigators are currently probing possible links between the threat and the activities of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, which has in recent months been associated with threats to several high-profile entertainment figures.
The Mumbai Crime Branch investigation revealed that the vehicle used in the firing was sourced from Pune. The car belonged to a Pune-based man who had sold it to one of the arrested accused, Aditya Gayki, for Rs 30,000 just days earlier.
Gayki and another accused, Samarth Pomaji, allegedly left the vehicle at a pre-decided location in Juhu. According to the Crime Branch, those who purchased and transported the vehicle to Mumbai were unaware of the shooter’s identity. It was later revealed that Shubham Lonkar allegedly instructed the shooter to collect the vehicle from the designated spot and carry out the firing.
With multiple high-profile names now linked to threats or violent incidents, the Mumbai Crime Branch continues its probe amid rising security concerns across Bollywood.
