Ever since Meghna Gulzar announced her upcoming biographical drama 'Sam Bahadur' starring Vicky Kaushal, it has been trending and making news for all the right reasons. Today, the makers dropped its highly anticipated teaser on social media.
The two-minute and 25-second long teaser gives us a sneak peek into India's first Field Marshal, played by Vicky Kaushal who looks unrecognisable as he fully channels Sam Manekshaw. The teaser also gave us a glimpse of Sanya Malhotra who plays his wife, and Fatima Sana Sheikh who plays the then Prime Minister Indira Gandhi. Going by the teaser, there are several scenes of out-and-out war as Sam was heading the Indian Army during the 1971 Indo-Pak war.
Check out the teaser below: For the unversed, Sam Bahadur is one of the most anticipated films of the year as it narrates the story of India’s first Field Marshal Sam Manekshaw who was responsible for India’s win against Pakistan in 1971 and was instrumental in drawing up the new map of the world and carving out Bangladesh.
'Sam Bahadur' is directed by Meghna Gulzar, known for Talwar, Raazi, and Chhapaak. The film is slated to release theatrically on December 1, 2023, clashing with Ranbir Kapoor starrer 'Animal'.
