Sameer Wankhede defamation case: Did ex-NCB officer's wife Kranti Redkar take a dig at 'The Ba***ds of Bollywood' with cryptic post?
Sameer Wankhede became the talk of the town once again after Aryan Khan's directorial debut show, 'The Ba***ds of Bollywood', featured a scene taking an indirect dig at the former Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) zonal director. Now, the ex-NCB official has filed a lawsuit against the makers of the show in the Delhi High Court. Amidst the legal drama, Wankhede's wife and Marathi actress, Kranti Redkar, shared a rather cryptic post.
Along with the video, she captioned the post, "Drug problem is deep; it's not something to be made fun of or laughed at. Hope people realise the seriousness of this problem before it's too late. Keep up the good work @swankhede.irs, your contribution to society is profound. And we are all very proud of you."
The caption further read, "You could spend weekends having fun, going for vacations, but you choose to conduct antidrugs awareness lectures and programs. Talking to the youth, shaping their young minds. We all stand by you and your movement. #nashamuktbharatcampaign."
Now, after the release of the show, the Indian Revenue Officer has moved the Delhi High Court and sought a permanent injunction. In the defamation suit, he stated that the makers are deliberately trying to malign his reputation, along with insulting the anti-drug agencies.

After the show was released on the streaming platform, the scene taking an indirect jibe at Wankhede went viral on the internet. Interestingly, two days later, Kranti dropped a video of her husband delivering a speech about drug issues in the country.Along with the video, she captioned the post, "Drug problem is deep; it's not something to be made fun of or laughed at. Sameer Wankhede vs Shah Rukh Khan's son Aryan Khan
When Sameer was the NCB zonal director, he arrested Shah Rukh Khan's son, Aryan Khan, in a drug case. After spending 22 days in jail, Aryan was granted bail in the case.
