Sangeeta Bijlani on her self-discovery phase; says her mother’s death had hit her hard
Today, Sangeeta Bijlani, comes in the category of actors who are a staunch followers of spirituality and well-being. The actress always followed her father who has been doing yoga since a long time. But there came a time when she took off on the journey of self-discovery.

She remembers, “In 2005, I was going through a deep phase, as my mom passed away that year. I was a lot attached to her and it affected me a lot. I went into a deep space. It just took me in. Especially, when I realised that my mom, who was always by my side, isn’t around me now.” The actress was extremely close to her mother who would accompany her on film sets.
She adds, “After her demise, I continued with my practice. I kept doing meditation and pranayama. I would also go running at my gym in Hyderabad. I realised that there is happiness that exists within you. You heal internally. I started going out and meeting my friends. It was like a paradigm shift. You unlearn things and look at life in a beautiful way.”
