Exclusive! Sanjay Kapoor on daughter Shanaya's Bollywood debut: I hope Karan Johar launches her

Sanjay Kapoor's daughter, Sonam Kapoor's cousin and Suhana Khan-Ananya Panday's BFF, Shanaya Kapoor is already hitting headlines. Though the star kid is yet to face the camera for a Bollywood film, Shanaya has amassed a huge fan following already.

The aspiring actress is already a hot favourite with the paparazzi and eager to know about her Bollywood debut, Etimes.com got in touch with papa Sanjay Kapoor and here’s what he has to say, “Shanaya will definitely mark her presence in Bollywood, she will work in films and everything, but it is nothing like I am going to launch her or produce her debut movie.”

Learning the ropes, Shanaya has been assisting on Karan Johar's production venture featuring her cousin Janhvi Kapoor.She is often spotted outside KJo’s office, giving fodder to rumours that the filmmaker will produce her debut vehicle. Clearing the air, the 'Mission Mangal' actor said, "There is no truth to this. Though I hope Karan Johar launches her in a film, I am just waiting for the right opportunity. In order to understand filmmaking, Shanaya assisted on Janhvi Kapoor's film, wherein she is playing a pilot (Gunjan Saxena biopic). Since the film is produced by Karan Johar, Shanaya was often spotted at his office and that’s why everyone is speculating that Shanaya is doing a film with KJo." Sanjay assured that Shanaya will definitely show off her acting prowess on the silver screen, but only when presented with the right opportunity, he added, “Right now Shanaya is training to be ready, whenever the time comes. You will definitely see her on the big screen but only when the perfect opportunity arrives.”

Shanaya is a social media sensation and daddy dearest revealed that all her profiles are fake, “Shanaya is not at all active on social media and she has more that 100 fake accounts. She has a private account and has not gone public for now," concluded Sanjay Kapoor.
