Sara Ali Khan names Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan as her favourite married Bollywood couple: ‘Mere father and…’

‘Metro… In Dino’ trailer was launched on Wednesday, June 4, 2025, at a lively event in Mumbai. The film’s star cast including Aditya Roy Kapur, Neena Gupta, Sara Ali Khan, Anupam Kher, Pankaj Tripathi, Ali Fazal, Fatima Sana Shaikh, and Konkona Sen Sharma gathered to celebrate and share the first look of the movie.

But the highlight of the evening was a sweet and funny moment when Sara Ali Khan was asked about her favourite married Bollywood couple.

Sara’s sweet but shy reply
When the journalist repeated the question twice, Sara finally smiled and said, “Mere father and Kareena.”
Asked what qualities she admired about them, Sara just laughed and avoided answering. Then, Aditya Roy Kapur joked, “Ye next trailer launch pe answer karenge?" making the whole panel burst into laughter. Pankaj Tripathi joined in, teasing, “Ye alag se kahin likhoge kya?" This fun exchange lightened the mood and showed the friendly vibe on set.


A modern family bond
This isn’t the first time Sara has spoken about her family dynamics. On ‘Koffee With Karan’, Karan Johar asked if she ever called Kareena “Chhoti Maa” (little mother). Sara replied, “I think Kareena would have a nervous breakdown if I was to call her chhoti maa," then laughed, “What? No!"

‘Metro… In Dino’ is directed by Anurag Basu and the film stars a large ensemble including Sara Ali Khan, Aditya Roy Kapur, Neena Gupta, Pankaj Tripathi, Konkona Sen Sharma, Anupam Kher, Fatima Sana Shaikh, Ali Fazal, and Saswata Chatterjee. It is set to release on July 4, 2025, and is a spiritual sequel to the 2007 film ‘Life In Metro’, which was loved for its stories about life and relationships in Mumbai.
